Illustrator’s Bio

Beegee Tolpa

Beegee Tolpa portrait

Beegee's art and illustrations have a young, playful and approachable look. A graduate of the Parsons School of Design in New York City, Beegee Tolpa initially studied furniture design but later switched to illustration. She also studied graphic design and retained from those disciplines her love for gadgets and props, her characters sipping tea or sitting next to a cool espresso machine. When Beegee studied illustration she used to draw with crayons. Ironically, her current work is totally digitized. The relaxed lifestyle of her adoptive city, Seattle, also has an influence on her work.
