Owen Freeman
Owen was born in Texas and grew up in the Pacific Northwest before moving to Los Angeles. He graduated with distinction from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 2009. Absorbing drawing from a young age through comics and animation, Owen has always appreciated illustration because of its accessibility to everyone. He is particularly inspired by mid-century illustrators, such as J. C. Leyendecker and Robert McGinnis, who turned popular and humble venues like posters and paperback jackets into veritable galleries. Owen works primarily in ink, watercolor, and digital mediums, and his artwork has been featured in magazines and print, album packaging, and theater posters.
