Owen Freeman currently illustrates the Medical Mystery column in the Health & Science section of the Washington Post written by Sandra G. Boodman. Each piece is a challenging medical case—one that has been resolved but in which the patient's symptoms are puzzling to doctors thus immediate diagnoses have been wrong. The illustration is meant to pull the reader in with a dramatic moment and yet it needs to hightlight specific descriptions, mainly symptoms. It’s been an honor to work on so many of Sandra G. Boodman's cases for The Washington Post.
